This trawler has many modifications and upgrades not seen on other Nordhavn 76’s, making her an ideal choice if you are in the market for a Nordhavn 76.

This trawler is a 76′ Aft Pilothouse Nordhavn with an extended swim step for an overall length of 78′. The vessel has a large cockpit, a full walk around on the starboard side and a partial walk around on the port side. The interior of the vessel is accessed through PCM, powder coated Dutch Doors on either Port or Starboard or from the aft cockpit into the Salon. The cockpit sole and swim step are teak and were refinished and re-caulked in 2015. The hull and deck Gelcoat are in immaculate condition. Her bottom paint and Prop Speed were applied in late 2016.

This Nordhavn 76 has a stunning Cherry Wood interior and soft goods package, elegantly detailed by the award winning yacht interior designer, Scott Cole. Engine Room / Mechanicals
PROPULSION

  • Propulsion is twin MTU Series 60 475 hp Detroit Diesel (upgraded from single 425 hp offered as the PAE basic at the time of contract)

OIL CHANGE SYSTEM

  • An ozone injector (continually injecting ozone into the black water tank) was installed to completely eliminate all black water odor from the system
  • The pilothouse and day heads have been removed from the Vacuflush system and replaced with Dometic Flush Master macerator style heads.

GRAY WATER SYSTEM

  • Tango is equipped with a 200 gallon grey water holding tank to accommodate retention of grey water in restricted areas. All sinks, showers and laundry drainage (except the galley sink) are directed to the holding tank. The galley sink and garbage disposal drain to a “Y”-valve, to be directed overboard unless the vessel is operating in a no-discharge area.
  • The Grey Water tank level is monitored by a pneumatic Headhunter WTS 1500 system. This system can be set to fully automatic mode or alternatively, can be set to pump the tank overboard manually.
  • The Grey Water discharge pump is a Sealand T-24 and there is also a manual Edson Backup pump.

STABLIZER & HYDRAULICS SYSTEMS

  • The ABT hydraulic system utilizes two pumps powered by PTO from the main engines transmissions. The system provides power for a bow thruster, stern thruster, anchor windlass, anchor chain wash pump, emergency dewatering pump and the stabilizer system.
  • TRAC stabilizer fins and all associated equipment were increased from 12sf (standard) to 16sf
  • The PAE standard stern thruster but the bow thruster was increased for 38 hp to 50 hp
  • The primary 2500lb davit, is powered from a separate 240volt electric / hydraulic system
  • The secondary 1000lb davit, is powered by a 24VDC electric / hydraulic system

HVAC SYSTEMS

  • HVAC system is a Cruise Air Tempered water system with three 36,000 BTU Chillers for a total capacity of 9 Tons of refridgeration
  • Smart starts have been added to all three chillers
  • Ducting sizes have been increased (2 x the Nordhavn factory standards) in the pilothouse for additional cooling while in the tropics
  • Tango is equipped with 13 Air Handler Units, including an air handler for the engine room and a fresh air makeup unit. There is an additional, separate CruiseAir system in the Lazerette
  •  The Engine Room is ventilated using 3 x high performance Dayton 240VAC fans  ( 2 x intake and 1 x exhaust )  with fire damper systems
  • Head compartments are all ventilated using 24V 250CFM blowers

FIRE PREVENTION SYSTEMS

  • The vessel is equipped with a self actuated fire suppression system for the unoccupied Engine Room, Lazarette, Bow and Amidships Machinery Compartments. Each of these compartments, contains a separate pressurized bottle, containing FE241, fire suppressant and is also connected to a machinery and compartment blower shut-down system.
  • There are numerous hand held fire extinguishers on board.
Upgrades and Special Equipment

  • Numerous stainless steel handrails have been added to all areas
  • Horns were increased to Kahlenberg D-2 Triple Trumpet system and M-511A whistle controls with oversized compressor and tank to provide compressed air to other outlets around the vessel.

The salon features a large, Italian sable leather L-shaped sofa and chairs around a low coffee table. There is custom cabinetry along the port side and a 42″ plasma TV on a lift.  Surround sound Bose Hi-Fi home theater system consisting of a tuning amplifier, CD/DVD/BLUERAY player, five (5) speakers and a subwoofer. Connections at cockpit and flybridge, plus volume controls for Pilothouse, flybridge, bow seating area and aft deck.The salon bar located is the aft port side features a dark rainforest granite topped, curved, two-level bar with sink, icemaker, refrigerator and bottle storage.Following forward toward the dining area is additional cabinetry for china & stemware storage.  The dining table has a custom glass top and provides seating for eight. Floors are Travertine marble.

VIP & GUEST STATEROOMS
Accessed from the Country Kitchen and forward of the master stateroom are the guest accommodations. There is a spacious VIP suite at the bow with king berth, 22″ SHARP LCD TV with Bose CD/DVD home theatre system and wardrobe. A second VIP guest suite with queen berth is to port and a guest twin cabin starboard.Each stateroom features an ensuite bath with “Afyon Turkey” countertops and flooring, upgraded Afyon shower walls with designer tempered glass doors and Mahogany cabinetry. Both have the Bose CD/DVD home theatre system. The port side guest room has a 20″ SHARP LCD TV and the starboard side guest stateroom has a 14″ SHARP LCD TVThere is also a guest laundry center with Miele stacking washer and dryer, a full-sized linen cabinet and lower luggage storage.
 

CREW ACCOMODATIONS
Three crew cabins accommodate up to five. The large Captain’s quarters has a full-size berth, desk, and private bath with toilet, sink and full shower. The other two crew staterooms include twin bunks and a shared bath with toilet, sink and full shower.There is a crew galley with 26″ SHARP LCD TV with CD/DVD player opposite a settee and table. There is a crew laundry center with Splendide combination washer/dryer. Stair access through starboard side enters into the crew area and engine room. PILOTHOUSE
The raised pilothouse grants excellent visability and features an L-shaped settee around a glass table, upgraded electric helm chair on sliding mount and an etched glass panel that allows natural light to the stairs down to the master stateroom. The electronics panel is framed in leather and Mahogany wood has been selected to complement the custom interior for the flooring, ceiling panels and cabinetry.
 

FLYBRIDGE
The flybridge is equipped with a varnished teak U-shaped seating area with Sunbrella covered cushions to starboard and a custom wetbar and grill area with refrigerator, ice maker and three fixed bar stools to port. Located aft is a four person Jacuzzi tub and a custom Marquipt 1500 lb. davit with power telescoping hydraulic boom and rotation at the very back. The GRP arch contains electronics, horn, navigation, anchor, search lights, stereo speakers and a custom hardtop sunroof that opens.The helm station area has four Stidd helm and companion seats, a stainless steel and tempered glass windshield, and a fitted cover for the helm.
 

AFT DECK & SWIM PLATFORM
The aft deck is appointed with a GRP settee with cushions and a varnished teak dining table that doubles as a serving buffet and six chairs. There are storage lockers located in the starboard pilaster, within the settee cabinetry and a recessed storage area for the firefighting system. A curved, tinted, tempered glass salon door conceals the stairs to the flybridge for a uniform appearance. There are GRP bulwark doors with stainless steel hinges for side disembarkment located on the aft deck (2) and mid ship (2) for easy access to side entry doors. An aft deck docking station in the starboard pilaster insert opens to engine, bow and stern thruster controls.Fiberglass gates on stainless steel hinges lead to the teak planked platform. An electro-hydraulic stainless steel and teak swim ladder extends from the platform. There is a recessed box to the port side for hot/cold shower, freshwater wash down and shore water hookup. On the starboard side is a watertight door with stainless steel frame to access the crew area and engine room. The port side door accesses the mechanical room.

Retired Sailor III is a custom built, aluminum, bluewater cross-over trawler/motoryacht that is comfortable, a joy to operate and in excellent condition.
Designed by renowned naval architect, Gregory Marshall, construction began in 2004 by the well-respected build team at Park Isle Marine in Victoria, British Colombia and she was commissioned in 2008 as a Snowbird 73.

Hatteras 72 Motor Yacht (2008) for sale
This 72′ Hatteras features 4 staterooms, 3 cabin heads, a day head, plus crew accommodations aft. (8) televisions total. The wood treatments throughout the yacht are satin-finish African Mahogany.

Upon entering the vessel from the boarding gate(s) via the forward deck, you enter the main salon and are immediately greeted by dark wood, rich fabrics and quality stonework. To port is a granite-topped bar with a 50″ flat screen TV (mounted above). Proceeding forward from the stainless steel sliding salon doors, one immediately notices the raised-panel cabinetry on the forward bulkhead, both port and starboard. Fly Bridge
The 72′ Hatteras M/Y features a generous fly bridge with an integrated hardrop and a 3-panel glass windshield. There is a removable EZ2CY and traditional Strata-Glass 3-sided enclosure with aft curtain for foul weather. The space is air conditioned for comfortable cruising during the summer months, as well. Forward of the main salon is the country galley. All wood treatments are satin finished African Mahogany. Two steps lead up from the salon to the galley. Upon entering the appliances and island counter top are to port and the side by side Sub-Zero refrigerator is to starboard. Aft of the fridge just before entering the galley is the day head.There is a single window in the day head as well. The country galley seating is all the way forward below the forward windows. There is a wrap around leather upholstered dinette with seating for six. The table is an earth tone granite consistent with the galley countertop. The flooring in the galley is Amtico in teak and holly style.

Hull/Deck
The hull above the waterline was finished in spray urethane paint (Alexseal Paint) with highlight striping. The deck and cabin superstructure are of fiberglass construction, also sprayed with Alexseal Paint and sprayed nonskid on the decks. The 72′ MY also features full walkaround decks from the aft deck area all the way forward. There are several polished stainless steel “hoop-style” rails around the entire walkaround. The aft deck area is teak soled and there is a molded stairwell to the fly bridge in the port corner of the aft deck. The steps are also finished in teak sole. There is also a forward facing built in seating area with a varnished wood pedestal table on the aft deck for outdoor dining. The seating area is upholstered and has a full cover for protection. On the starboard corner of the aft deck overhang is drop down LCD HDTV in a locking cabinet. There are also stereospeakers and overhead lights on the overhang.

Entering thru the yachts main entry on the aft deck is through sliding doors that provide a 10′ unobstructed opening. The main salon is generous in space and comfort which provides the perfect space for relaxing and entertaining. There are 2 custom electric helm seats for ease of navigation. The space has a watertight door to the port exterior deckway.

3 staterooms are located forward including port and starboard rooms with 3 berths each and ensuite bath facilities, Bose systems, TVs. The VIP stateroom has a queen bed, large glass providing view to the exterior ,large closets, a beautiflully appointed bath area, Bose system and TV.

The master stateroom is located midship, bottom deck. It is reached by private stairway located near the main salon. This stateroom, which spans the entire width of the yacht ,has custom his and hers bath areas with a jacuzzi tub, seperate shower, private and seperate toilets. The space has large panoramic glass providing view to the exterior, custom cove and direct and indirect lighting, a desk, large closets a sitting area and a Bose system.

The upper deck is perfect for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying the views underway or at anchor. This space is reached by a large stairway at the aft deck. A large jacuzzi tub, sun beds, dining area for 12 beneath a retractable opening in the hardtop,bar b que, fully equipped bar including an icemaker , sink, refrigerator, shower with hot and cold water are just a few of the amenities on this very spacious deck. This space also contains the Williams tender, davit, safety rafts, storage, arch for spotlights, radar , TV tracking dish and the upper deck helm station.

The exterior foredeck has an enormous seating area and sun beds complete with a Bimini top to provide shade. The windlass area for controlling the ships dual anchors are located all the way forward with the impressive stainless deck hardware.

The exterior aft deck area has a large table with seating for 10 at a teak table. There is a console complete with a sink, refridgerator and storage. The back deck provides access to the upper deck, the main salon,the pasarelle for boarding the yacht med style and a submersible swim deck where the 2 2015 seado wave riders await the adventurous.

Through a watertight door in the stern is the crew area accommodation for 4 , seating area, private and seperate head and shower, lazarette area and the engine room main entry. The engine room is spacious and contains most all machinery for the yachts operation including twinn catapillar c-32 1850 hp main engines, two generators for producing 40 kW of electricity when needed, air conditioning , water maker, exhaust fans and the Atlas electrical conversion system. ITALIAN LUXURY AND PERFORMANCE

Professionally crewed and maintained since her 2008 initial delivery in Italy. This Azimut is only a 2-owner yacht. Her current owner has enjoyed her for a year and is moving up to a larger Azimut.

He goes through a meticulous maintenance schedule to ensure that the vessel is everything a performance yacht should be. She has gone through many upgrades and systematical care to make sure the yacht continues to perform perfectly. This includes the MTU Major 1,000 hour service. Every 250 hours the oil and filters are changed on the MTU’s. Every 350 hours the generator oil and filters are changed. A full service was recently performed by RPM diesel on the MTU engines as well.

A navigation electronics and A/V refit were completed in 2015. A new 1,100 GPH water-maker was added in 2015. New Hull Paint in 2012 and much more.

Accommodations for eight guests in a master suite, VIP stateroom and two twin cabins and she’s powered by twin 2,000 HP MTU engines driving Hamilton water-jets with joystick control.

A separate crew quarters with 2 cabins sleeps 3 and is situated near the commercial grade galley for easy entertaining.

Notable features include a retractable salon roof and a large teak aft deck with ample seating and sun lounging. A large saloon offers comfortable relaxation with three couches, two ottomans and an expandable dining table. In 2015 the owners stateroom was fitted with two 55″ Samsung TV’s with Apple TV. In 2015 a SunBrite TV was added in the aftdeck. All controlled with iPad’s. She is fitted throughout with Crestron entertainment systems as well.

Hamilton Jets make the yacht extremely maneuverable especially in docking situations. The jets provide an unparalleled smoothness of ride and quietness not attainable with the Arneson drive models. This propulsion system allows speeds of up to 40 knots and a very low draft of only 4 feet making it perfect for shallow waters and cruising in the Bahamas. A particularly narrow bow precedes a slender, aerodynamic body, characterized by square windows and double mirrored shark fin windows that are synonymous with the legendary Azimut S Collection.
