Azimut 72 Flybridge 2017 for sale

At a quick glance, the 2017 Azimut 72 follows the blueprint of many other Euro-designed modern flybridge cruisers.

It has tons of glass, a large high-low sunbathing platform, and the ubiquitous hardtop that tries (but thankfully fails) to upset the exterior design that Stefano Righini has spent so much time developing.

Upon closer inspection the boat does seem particularly generous in key places. The foredeck area for example is very vast. She is graced with a sunbed that could have been plucked from any 90 footer!

Nowadays, most flybridge cruisers have relatively long spacious flybridges, but the 72 Azimut’s  is just a little more elongated than typical.

Inside, the usual sought after key features are present and correct for a boat this size including four en-suite cabins, as well as two good crew cabin aft. You do not typically see a 72’ yacht with all en-suite cabins so this is definitely a bonus on a boat this size.

The headroom is generous too; 6ft 9in (2.06m) in the saloon, 6ft 6in (1.98m) throughout the owner’s cabin, and a whopping 6ft 8in (2.03m) in the engine room. This makes the interior feel more voluminous and open and also makes working in the engine room much easier for contractors.  When the engine room is spacious and well laid out it saves the owner money in the yard and routine service and maintenance. These features are nice but perhaps not enough to sell you on an Azimut vs. her competitors.

What might persuade you is Azimut’s highly distinctive style inside. The Italian company has married its archetypal characterful limed oak with ultra high gloss ebony, and then peppered the boat with highly polished stainless steel detailing in the form of useful handholds, seamanlike fiddles, protective cappings and table legs and furniture supports – they run through the 72 as a shimmering stylistic link. And they look fabulous.

The standard of finish throughout is also outstanding, a true testament to Azimut and Italian shipbuilders.

Practical detailing is impressive as well; cedar lined wardrobes, heavy doors closing onto rubber gaskets to reduce noise transmission, and the almost complete absence of sharp edges or protruding corners to fall against when the going gets rough.

Verdict?

The Azimut 72 does seem to have it all: a glamorous interior with impressive practical detailing, generous headroom, reasonable 32.6 knot performance, a fine engineering installation, and four cabins which are all conveniently en-suite.

Voici le nouveau S7 du célèbre chantier Italien Azimut, toujours le no 1 mondial. L’Azimut  S7 utilise la fibre de carbone afin d’allégé le poids de certaines composantes tout en ayant un plus faible volume donc qui permet de meilleur performance au final, comme par exemple le mât de navigation qui est en fibre de carbone, quelques éléments de la superstructure et le mécanisme de pivotage de la plateforme arrière.

Azimut utilise également beaucoup de technologie avec le système ACS (Advance Cruising Solutions) qui permet un contrôle de l’assiette très poussé qui inclus également le transfert automatique du carburant d’un réservoir à l’autre en plus du contrôle automatique des flaps (genre Humphrey).

Azimut a toujours eu les bonnes intuitions pour séduire les plaisanciers. L’Azimut  S7, même dans un concept sport introduit le mini-flybridge qui plait tant aux plaisanciers. Ce flybridge permet la conduite extérieure tout en conservant un look définitivement sport. Ce qui est une nouveauté dans l’industrie pour un yacht de 70 pieds.

De plus le garage permet deux annexes (dinghy), je rappelle que nous sommes dans un yacht de 70 pieds, nous sommes dans l’exception ici. Même le Pershing 70 ne permet pas cela.

Nous avons un plan de pont très moderne et surtout très fonctionnelle. L’Azimut S7 offre quatre chambres au pont inférieur avec un espace pour l’équipage pour 2 marins (avec une entrée indépendante).

L’azimut S7 introduit un nouveau concept dans un emballage très sexy. Azimut S7 2018 for sale

Here is the new S7 from the famous Italian shipyard Azimut, still the world’s No. 1. The Azimut S7 uses carbon fiber to lighten the weight of some components while having a lower volume so that better performance in the end, such as the navigation mast that is carbon fiber and also for some elements of the superstructure and the steering mechanism of this rear platform.

Azimut also uses a lot of technology with the Advance Curling Solutions (ACS) system that allows for a very thorough trim control that also includes automatic fuel transfer from one tank to another in addition to the automatic flaps control (like Humphrey).

Azimut has always had the good intuitions to seduce boaters. The S7 even in a sport concept introduces the mini-flybridge that pleases many boaters. This flybridge allows outdoor driving while maintaining a sporty look.

This is uncommon rare in the industry for a 70-foot yacht.

In addition the garage allows two annexes (dinghy), I remember that we are in a yacht of 70 feet, we are in the exception here. Even the Pershing 70 does not allow that.
